HOME from CHINA!! Reagan and I had a great time. It was wonderful to experience China and Hong Kong with my daughter who has been living in Beijing for the last 6 months. She can really speak Chinese now!
I will be posting some of my images over the next few weeks.
Our first night in Beijing We went to a little tiny village where you can walk a mountain trail up to the great wall – Not your normal tourist destination. The Great wall is amazing! I was surprised how steep in places it was. At one point we squatted down lifted our hands and ” sledded ” down the wall on our shoes. It was raining a little so it was pretty slick. Quite a hike caring 3 lenses and my camera. Here is one image that I took – more to come later…

Check this out!

A cool image showed up on my face book one day that a man took of Roz Savage when she arrived at Madang Papua New Guinea. I thought that it was a great image so I commented to the maker Jan Massersmith on FB. He has a very fun blog where he talks about life in paradise and shows amazing underwater images that he has taken. He invited me to be a “guest shooter” on his blog. : )

Jan’s underwater photography is beautiful and I know, being from Kansas, I certainly don’t get to experience what he sees on a daily basis.
Thanks Jan for bringing a bit of your world and the beautiful ocean to those of us that may not otherwise get to see it.
And thanks too for featuring “me” : ) on your blog!!

Today I am packing up my camera bag and heading to the Nelson Art Gallery. This is my 4th year to help my good friend Mary Watkins photograph The Jewel Ball. I love photographing this event! It is like photographing 20-30 brides at one time. You will never see so many beautiful dresses in one place. Among other things, I have the wonderful job of capturing candid images in the dressing room as the girls are getting ready… So much fun for me!

It is amazing every year how they decorate for this event… Flowers and bouquets everywhere – it seems like every year they out do the year before.

OK… so being a horse lover and owner most all of my life it is probably obvious that I get excited when a Senior wants to bring their horse or in this case horses along for their photography session. Katie is a great rider and this session was a lot of fun!

Enjoy her images!!

Yesterday I had a massage and my first facial at AesthetiCare – Kansas City’s Premier Medical Spa. It was wonderful! The good news is that they have graciously given me quite a few $100.00 gift cards to give to my customers who book a session in June. Get awesome images for dad and then reward your self with a med spa massage or treatment!

“LITTLE GUYS WITH TIES” – In time for father’s day. Dress you little guy up like dad and get a darling image just in time for a gift for dad! This 30 minute session is $45.00 and includes one 5×7.
Other options – bring all of the kids $75.00 session includes one 5×7. 10 image leather wallet book special $99.00.

So… It is senior crunch time for images. Parties are already happening… So what did we do when it rained the day of Megan’s session?? We photographed anyway : ) Here are some of the images from her fun session.
